Week #50 10/12-16/12 Long time no see
I know it has been a very long time since I updated this page now, I'm sorry. Lots of things have happened. I've got a four year Master degree (yay!) and I'm applying for different jobs. :-) Meanwhile I'm taking courses in Statistics, Geographical Information Systems and Sustainable development. Hopefully I'll get to know this week what will happen to me after New Year...

 Week #32 6/8-12/8 New host
Now I'm back home again and this site has gotten another hosting service, which is why I haven't updated it lately. Please report to me if you find errors anywhere. (There might still be paths or scripts I have forgotten to change.)

I have also gotten a final deadline for my degree project, in the beginning of September. So until then I will be very busy...

 Week #28 9/7-15/7 Busy
We have started going to the gym again. \o/ Unfortunately I suddenly got ill last week and now I'm recovering with the help of penicillin. So it will be a few days before I go gym again.

Thanks to a hard disk failure, I've started working on my degree project again. :-) I've gotten quite far now and can finally see the light in the other end of the tunnel! I'm aiming to finish this and get my degree in late August/beginning of September. After that... I don't know. We'll see what happens. :-)

Good news! I got the best grade after all on the vertebrate course! \o/ I'm really happy about that! :-))

Me and Beata on the boat to Blå JungfrunAnd here are some pictures from my vacation on Öland this summer. Unfortunately a big part of my photos got lost, but at least I have pics from Blå Jungfrun, the mythical rock island near Öland. :-)

I'm also happy to say that I have now had over 70 000 visitors on this homepage.

Week #24 11/6-17/6 Home from Öland, last exam
I just got home from my vacation on Öland. :-) It was lovely, we saw lots of birds and I'm so happy that I have learnt to identify them all. I'll try to put up pictures later. Although one of my SD memory cards failed, so I lost a lot of good pics... :-\

I had my last exam on the vertebrate course today Monday; mammals, frogs, snakes and fish. Unfortunately it didn't go as well as I hoped. I'm quite sure I passed, but not with the best grade. Oh well... I shouldn't have to high demands on myself I guess. It's not the end of the world. Darn it. :-P

Week #22 28/5-3/6 Bird exam #2 and vacation
This Saturday I have a second bird exam, the Big one. I hope I can pass it without a single fault, but I need to study more first.

On Sunday I'm off to Öland on vacation with my friend Beata. \o/ We are going to work a bit with biological research, like we did last summer, but also go on sightseeing and birdwatching. :-)

 Week #21 21/5-27/5 Bird exam #1
My first bird exam went well! I had my lenses for the fourth time, and they really helped a lot. I think I think I will score 4 points out of 5, so I should be satisfied. :-)

As you may know, I have also started to plan a new homepage. I'm really tired of this old one. But it will still take a while before the new page is finished.

 Week #20 14/5-20/5 Learning 250 birds
In the vertebrate course I need to learn ~250 birds within the next couple of weeks. Including sounds from ~50 of them. Eeep! But fun! :-)

Oh, and I've finally gotten my first contact lenses. Just for tryout in the beginning. I've gotten them mainly for birdwatching, since it's quite a hassle with glasses and binoculars in my vertebrate course. 8-)

Week #10 5/3-11/3 To the mountains
This Friday I'm off on a vacation with Gustaf and his parents, to their mountain cabin. There will be lots of snow, crosscountry skiing and quiet evenings at the fire reading good books. There will also be stiffness, wet clothes and plodding through the snow with a flashlight, to the outside loo. But I can't wait to get there! (Uh, to the cabin, not the loo.) It will definitely charge my batteries. :-)

And I just noticed that this homepage has reached 60 000 visitors this week, cool!

 Week #9 26/2-4/3 Busy...
Things are going just fine! Unfortunately, the more things I have to do, the less time I have to update this homepage. I hope you can bear with me. :-\

Tomorrow Wednesday is our second meeting for the classic book study circle. Finally! I'm really looking forward to it. We have all read Doctor Glass by Hjalmar Söderberg this month. If you happen to live in Uppsala and want to join the study circle, send me an email. (Address at the bottom of this page.) Right now we're four girls and three to five boys, neat. :-)

Week #8 19/2-25/2 Reunion, jobs and fish
This Friday night we had a reunion with my old Quake3 Freezetag clan Sub Zero Treatment! 33 people were invited and about a third showed up to play! We did a friendly match against clan BIG for example. The whole reunion was a success, we had a lot of fun! Thanks all! :-)

I've signed up for a second job beginning in March and will probably get a third job starting this Tuesday. :-) Nice nice.

I'm also taking an evening course in vertebrates, animals that have backbone or spinal cords that is. For now, I'm trying to learn 90 fish by heart. :-)

 Week #7 12/2-18/2 Valentines Day
Happy Valentines day! Sweet commercial jippo day. Unfortunately my cold has gotten worse, so no celebrating for me and Gustaf. We have decided to have a raincheck some other day, maybe next week. We'll see.

I hope I get better soon, because we've gotten more snow here now and it's possible to go cross-country skiing again. :-)

Week #5 29/1-4/2 Study circle for classic books
This week I'm hosting the very first meeting of a study circle that I have been wanting and planning for some time now. We are going to read and discuss classic books!
I really look forward to it, since I've been reading a lot of famous books during the last six months or so. (At the moment I'm engaged in Tom Sawyer and Jane Eyre.) Feel free to recommend good books to me if you happen to have read anything classic! :-)

 Week #4 22/1-28/1 Snow!
Finally! The snow has arrived to Uppsala and we have already made our first trips on skiis (cross-country) this winter. :-) Although it was tougher than I thought, I'm not exactly fit. Hopefully we can go for a longer ski trip in Hågadalen/Nåsten this weekend.

Kajsa and Johan's wedding was great! I had so much fun, I almost danced my feet off together with Gustaf! :-))

Btw, I just want to thank FP and Godsmurf for pointing out all the errors I make on this homepage! I really appreciate it! :-)

Week #2 8/1-14/1 Art exhibition and Yosemite pics
I went to Stockholm this Tuesday to watch an exhibition at Nationalmuseum;
A mirror of of Nature, Nordic Landscape Painting 1840-1910. Beautiful paintings and my favourite motif - nature sceneries! I found a favourite in Akseli Gallen-Kallela's Black woodpecker. It was my first art exhibition in many years and I loved it!

And finally, the fifth and last of the SF pics are up - part 2 of the Yosemite pics!
